Shy Glizzy earns first gold plaque as lead artist, announces ‘Young Jefe 3’

Shy Glizzy is dropping Young Jefe 3 project on September 18

Shy Glizzy’s “Do You Understand?” featuring another Toronto artist, Tory Lanez and Gunna is officially gold. This isn’t the D.C. artist’s first time receiving gold recognition, but it is his first time as the lead artist.

“Even tho I’m a multi-platinum recording artist. This is my first 📀 as the lead and it really mean a lot to me,” Glizzy said on Instagram.”

Even tho I’m a multi-platinum recording artist. This is my first 📀 as the lead and it really mean a lot to me. I got into this game just me and my niggaz with no handouts no co-signs just str8 grind. I always had odds against me, especially coming from a small city but my dreams were always bigger. You can do it too! Following the post of achievement, he announced the pre-order for his Young Jefe 3 project. The third installment will be out next week, September 18th. In 2014, Glizzy dropped the first installment, hosted by DJ Bigga Rankin and featured his hit song “Awwsome,” which is only “about 10k units away” from achieving gold status.
