With all the success Polo G has attained, the skilled songwriter knows better to charge big checks for features. He recently hopped on making it clear that he is about his business and anyone who needs a feature from him should be ready to dish out a big chunk of cheese. “I'm a businessman befo anything” tweeted Polo before adding, “Features 85 Rackzz but the keep going up???”. He then wrote on another tweet, “I remember doin features fa 200$;Grind Neva Stop ?”.

Last year was the breakthrough moment for Polo G. His hits Finer Things and Pop Out featuring received massive success with the latter reaching number 11 on Hot 100 and has been certified 5× platinum a few hours ago. Later the same year, the Chicago-bred MC released his Die A Legend which debuted at number 6 on Billboard Hot 200. The critically-acclaimed debut was rated 8.3 out of 10 by Pitchfork and has since been certified platinum after selling 1 000 000 copies in the US.

Since his breakthrough in , Polo G has been riding his own wave and has been featured on multiple albums. To further solidify his place in the industry, he dropped his sophomore studio album The GOAT in May of this year.
