The New Jersey rapper was born Anthony Criss in 1970 in East Orange, NJ. He was a very influential part of the 1990s East Coast rap scene and remains a part of Naughty by Nature. They’re responsible for hits including “Hip-Hop Hooray,” “O.P.P.,” and “Jamboree.”
He has dabbled in acting but is famous as a rapper more than an actor. He was a long-time friend of Tupac even during the coast wars, and both men starred in Juice and Salt-N-Pepa’s Whatta Man video. He was once married to Pepa.
As a trio, Naughty by Nature consists of Treach, Vin Rock, and DJ Kay Gee that was discovered by Queen Latifah and went on to have success as a touring act. Treach is a father and has starred on reality TV shows Love & Hip Hop and Couples Therapy.
