It looks like the universe is possibly going to get a from Lil Baby this year. The star triggered excitement among his fans on Sunday evening (January 16), when he shared a photo of his record engineer working with studio equipment.

“I'm coming,” Baby simply wrote on the Instagram story post.

The last time Baby promised was in August 2021, when he revealed in a tweet, “New music soon.”


During a visit to Icebox jewel store last summer, the “Errybody” rapper explained how his upcoming collab with challenged him to put more thought into his raps instead of just freestyling.

“It takes me longer to rap cause, like, I don't really care what I say on a song. You feel me? I just freestyle, but with Drake, I be trying to think about it,” he told jeweler Zahir.


“… That's what makes it harder for me cause, like, I'm thinking. When I don't even think, I just rap,” he explained. “So then like, cause it's Drake, I get kind of like, damn… So I gotta make sure.”

The rapper then revealed that he'll practically write all of his next album and that people should expect a more lyrically focused body of work. “My next album, I'm writing it. Every song, I'm writing it,” the 4PF CEO said. “So, it's gonna be more detailed. Right now, I freestyle, so only the top of my brain comes out.”
