Lizzo vows to donate some of her tour proceedings to Planned Parenthood & Abortion Funds
Singer Lizzo announced on Friday that she will donate $500,000 from her tour proceeds to non-profit organization Planned Parenthood, and Abortion Funds. She also revealed that entertainment company Live Nation offered to make it $1 million. This comes after Supreme Court voted to overturn Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization.
‘'I'm pledging $500k from my upcoming tour to Planned Parenthood and Abortion Rights,'' Lizzo wrote on social media. ‘'Live Nation agreed to match— to make it 1 MILLION dollars.'' She added, ‘'We are going to give proceeds to @AbortionFunds as well!''
