Kendrick Lamar's GKMC to hit major Billboard milestone

's blockbuster record good kid, m.A.A.d city still reigns as the longest-charting album on 200. According to Billboard, the iconic project is only a week away from becoming the first album to chart for 10 years on Billboard 200.

The 3x-platinum album was released in October 2012 via , Aftermath, and Interscope as K-Dot's sophomore studio album and first major label release. It featured guest appearances from , , , Jay Rock, Anna Wise, and MC Eiht.

GKMC saw a successful opening week, occupying #2 on Billboard 200 after earning 242k copies. It also scored the highest first week for hip-hop albums released by male rappers in 2012.
