It's Young Metro season
Metro Boomin teased a collaboration with Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse movie this week when he shared a picture of himself in a black Spider-Man suit on Instagram. According to HipHopDx, following the release of the official trailer on Tuesday (December 13), co-writers and producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller confirmed during a YouTube Premium after-party that Metro will be making the theme song of the forthcoming movie that arrives June 2, 2023.
The first installment of the film, Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, was released in 2018 with Swae Lee & Post Malone's “Sunflower” as the theme song. The record went diamond in 2021 and became the most certified song in RIAA history in November this year after going 17x platinum.
