Bunny facing $40M lawsuit
Latin rapper Bad Bunny is being sued by his ex girlfriend Carliz De La Cruz Hernández for $40M over the hit records “Pa Ti” and “Dos Mil 16.” According to Associated Press, De La Cruz Hernández claims that her recording “Bad Bunny baby,” which she calls “indistinguishable” contribution, were used without her permission. She adds that the vocals have as well been used in “promotions, worldwide concerts, television, radio and social and musical platforms.”
The suit, which was filed this month, states: “Since then, thousands of people have commented directly on Carliz's social media networks, as well as every time she goes to a public place, about the ‘Bad Bunny, baby.' This has caused, and currently causes, that De La Cruz Hernández feels worried, anguished, intimidated, overwhelmed and anxious.”
