Weeknd rakes up billions of streams with ‘Afterhours'
The Weeknd maintains his streaming stronghold on Spotify, thanks to his album Afterhours. Chart Data shared on Sunday (May 28) that the album has now garnered over 10B streams on Spotify.
Released in March 2020 as Abel's fourth studio album, Afterhours received production from the likes of DaHeala, Illangelo, Max Martin, Metro Boomin, OPN among others. The blockbuster debuted on top of the Billboard 200 chart with 444K equivalent album units sold in the opening week, 275K of which were pure album sales.
