In wake of Nicki Minaj announcing her retirement from the music industry, WWD announces Nicki Minaj’s collection, “Fendi Prints On” (in reference to her hit song Chun-Li) and will launch it on October 14th. The collection will include logo-prints, reversible puffer jackets, graphic t-shirts, sequin dresses, and several figure-hugging ensembles in bold colors. In addition to womenswear, the hip hop mogul’s line will also extend to men’s and childrenswear.
Fendi’s chairman and chief executive officer, said, “She is a great artist and one of the best rappers. Fendi shares great affinity with her. She represents one of Fendi’s dimensions, the fun aspect of the brand and she will present it extremely well.” He mentioned her friendship with the late Karl Lagerfeld, as well as with Silvia Venturini Fendi.
The Fendi Prints On collection will launch online on October 14th and in-stores globally October 16th.
