    Freddie Gibbs says his next album is “another album of the year”

    Freddie Gibbs is working with Pharrell, The Alchemist, Hit-Boy, and more for the next album

    Freddie Gibbs and The Alchemist put out their Grammy-nominated body of work Alfredo around this time last year. Complete with 10 tracks, the cohesive album is showcased Freddie’s rapping ability and the chemistry he holds with The Alchemist. Freddie’s next album is in the making, and he recently spoke about some of the expectations.

    In an interview with MixMag, Gibbs said, “It’s another album of the year. I’m about to go and work with Pharrell next week. Madlib, Working On Dying, The Alchemist, Sevn Thomas, Hit-Boy, I just talked to [Mike WiLL Made-It]. It’s gonna be the best-produced album that I ever made.”

    Gibbs also noted that his next album will be abbreviated as SSS, which hasn’t been given a meaning just yet.

    Today (March 26), 23-year-old Cordae took to his social media accounts to preview a new track, and announce that his album is almost done. To keep fans as patient as possible, Cordae previews a new banger, where he flexes a few different flows and brags differently.

    Key Glock took to Twitter to quote tweet the previewed song, indicating that he needs to be on the track.

    Roddy Ricch is focused on making his next body of work – “timeless”

    After coming off his stellar body of work, Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial, 22-year-old Roddy Ricch says he isn’t worried about hits. Instead, he’s focused on making timeless music.

    “I’ve been paying closer attention to detail recently,” Roddy said in his new cover story interview with Complex. “I feel like I’m a perfectionist. I just like things to be right… Going into my next album, I want to tap into something that’s timeless.”

    Roddy has been teasing the third installment to his debut mixtape Feed Tha Streets. Roddy feels like “taking [the listeners] back to basics” will “bridge the gap” between his old fans and new fans.

    “There’s all the old fans I had when I first started rapping, and these new fans I got since the big album and Grammys and everything.”

    Speaking on “timeless” music, Roddy names Kanye West’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy as the GOAT album.

    “Mainly because everything he put into the album,” Roddy said. “He tapped into timeless music. You can make a body of work that can age bad, or, you can make a body of that you can make a body of work for years and years to come.”

    Offset took to his Instagram to preview the new song. The song is without an official title or release, but it’s showing Offset in rapping shape.

    When Quavo was caught outside of a restaurant with now-ex-girlfriend Saweetie, the 29-year-old rapper said the album is coming in a month and a half. Now, he announced this information in February, so, we’re turning the corner for when the third installment should be arriving.

    Drake has proven himself to be an elite, announcing on Thursday morning — a little after midnight, eastern time — that he’d be dropping off new music. On OVO Sound Radio, Thursday night (March 4), Drizzy shouted out Rick Ross and Lil Baby, while in the middle of announcing he’d be dropping 3 songs. 

    Speaking on his highly anticipated album, Certified Lover Boy, Drake said, “it’s being cheffed… I don’t have an exact date, but, it’s in the pot; it’s coming soon.”

    As he continues to work on the album, the new EP, Scary Hours 2, should hold over his loyal fanbase.
