Yachty denies copying Carti
Lil Yachty is not giving in to charges that he bit Playboi Carti's style. Kai Cenat recently previewed one of the “Strike (Holster)” rapper's unreleased tracks when an internet user bashed Yachty for copying Carti's style.
“Carti can't try 1 new sound without rappers immediately biting him, he's generational,” the user wrote. In response, Yachty wrote, “[H]ow did i bite him?” Adding, “[T]he beat? if that's the case i been workin with cardo since 2019-2020 on record yall fans be smoking the strongest dick.”
Both Yachty and Carti have extensively worked with producer Cardo, and he's even produced the latter's recent singles: “H00dByAir,” “Backr00ms” and “EvilJ0rdan.”
