Rap Kids in the Biz – Robb Bank$

Florida rapper and anime enthusiast is the son of Jamaican entertainer Shaggy. His dad is well known for the hit songs “Boombastic” and “It Wasn't Me” and is an accomplished singer and dancehall artist. Bank$, known for his Road to Falconia mixtape series, is an artist in his own right but the two seem to have a strained relationship. The “On Me” rapper sat down with VICE and had this to say about his dad.

Robb Bank$

“Shaggy's son is out here rappin' about this, that, blah, blah, blah. But at the end of the day they don't know me. He did not raise me. Me and his relationship is not the best relationship. We're workin' on it. We're tryin' to get shit back. Well, not back 'cause it never was. But we're tryin' to get shit to a level where it's all love, and we could all just be good. You know what I'm sayin'? I was raised by my mom in Florida. You know, I was raised right here in Coral Springs.”

Connecting as father and son isn't easy. Hopefully these two sort things out soon.
