Tyler, The Creator’s album IGOR is a modern soulful bliss. With Tyler’s ambiguous lyrics and masterful production, IGOR is Tyler’s best album yet. A few hours before the album came out Tyler released a statement letting fans know ‘IGOR’ is nothing like his previous work and to not expect a rap album, now that the album is official released. IGOR also marks Tyler, The Creator’s first Number 1 album on the Billboard 200 charts.

5. Tyler, the Creator’s album IGOR has a total of 8 different samples. Earlier in his career Tyler, The Creator stated that he hated sampling because he wasn’t very good at it.

4. Lil Uzi Vert has a writing credit on ‘IGOR’S THEME’ though a lot of fans can’t tell, the song does include Lil Uzi Vert’s vocals, making it their first official collaboration. Tyler confirmed Lil Uzi Vert has vocals on the bridge, Solange also accompanied Tyler, the Creator and Lil Uzi Vert on the chorus.

3. The third song on the IGOR titled ‘I THINK’ was recorded in, Lombardy, Italy. The song has backup vocals from Solange. On his song ‘I THINK’ Tyler, The Creator sampled Nigerian disco artist Bibi Mascel’s “Special lady” and “Get Down” by Nkono Teles.

2. Tyler, The Creator chose not to list any features on his album IGOR. This is the first time he has left his album tracklist uncredited on streaming. But the album does feature Lil Uzi Vert, Playboi Carti, Kanye West, Pharrell, Solange, Kevin Kendricks, Santigold, Slow thai, Cee Lo Green, Jack White, Jessy Wilson, Jerrod Carmichael, La Roux, and Charlie Wilson. No, the album does not feature Frank Ocean or A$AP Rocky.

1. The seventh song ‘A BOY IS A GUN’ and Kanye West’s ‘Bound 2’ both sample ‘Bound’ by the Ponderosa Twins Plus One. Looks like he really likes that sample because Tyler, The Creator did help produce the original version of Kanye’s ‘Bound 2’.
